Prof. Dr. Mayer is one of the few FEBO-certified (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology) and FWCRS Fellow surgeons in the Alpine region. He serves as board member and trainer of the German Commission for Refractive Surgery (KRC), training other eye surgeons internationally.

Pre-operative examinations can take place either in our practice on Wilhelm-Greil-Strasse or directly at the surgical center. All procedures are performed personally by Prof. Dr. Mayer – meaning highest safety, shortest paths and one consistent point of contact for international patients.

All prices are transparent and the same for international and local patients: pre-operative examination 200 EUR, Trans-PRK 3,500 EUR, Femto-LASIK 4,800 EUR, SMILE Pro 4,800 EUR, ICL implantation from 6,500 EUR. Prices are for both eyes.

Refractive laser surgery is generally not covered by public health insurance as it is considered elective. Cataract surgery may be partially reimbursed depending on your insurance and country of residence. Under the EU Cross-Border Healthcare Directive, EU patients may be eligible for partial reimbursement – we are happy to provide all necessary documentation.
